Hi!
My name is Mrs. O'Rear. WELCOME to my classroom! I am happy and excited to be a teacher here at Paradise High School for this my thirteenth year. I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education from West Texas State University (now known as West Texas A&M), and my Masters of Science in Mathematics Education at Texas Woman's University. This is my 37th year to teach, and I have taught everything from 7th grade mathematics to AP Calculus. Currently, I teach Precalculus, Pre AP Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, and Dual Credit Mathematics.
I have been married for 31 years. My husband and I have 2 dogs, Hershey and Daisy. We both stay busy with our jobs, but when we have the opportunity, we love to travel. I will post various pictures from our travels throughout the year on this website. The image on this page is of the Chisos Mountain Range in Big Bend National Park.
Please take some time to look at the following information about my schedule this year and available tutorial times. The subjects listed above will direct you to a page in which you will be able to find information about what we are currently doing for that class period. If as a student or as a parent/guardian you wish to know what assignment was given on a particular day for that subject/period, please feel free to follow the link for that information.
ONE MORE THING! I am excited as always about being the Paradise High School ACADEMIC UIL COORDINATOR! Additionally, I have the privilege of co-coaching Number Sense, Mathematics, and Calculator Applications. For information about any of these events, please click on the events listed above (in the "more..." tab). For information about the schedule for our PHS Academic UIL team this coming school year, click on the UIL Academics tab above (also in the "more..." tab).
